A European based vehicle distributor of specialized vehicles has an opening for an Account Executive in their Northern Virginia, US subsidiary office.

The Account Executive will report to the US Operations Manager as well as the European Operations Manager while working in partnership with the European HQ and US staff to efficiently operate and maintain effective working relationships with US organizations, specifically ngos, seeking vehicles for their overseas projects.

Principal duties will include marketing and seeking new potential customers while maintaining effective relationships with current customers. Typical tasks will include:

  • Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing with customers and staff colleagues in an effective manner
  • Maintain an active data base of current and potential customers
  • Maintain active and productive relationships with customers; this includes periodic travel for face to face meetings all over the country
  • Manage on a day to day basis Long Term Agreement and contracts – ensure the contracts are up to date and company terms and conditions are met
  • Work in partnership with the sales operation team leader to ensure customer service and sales levels are optimum
  • Understand the products and services and advise customers for mutual benefits
  • Assist in quality control issues
  • Research, identify and develop sales and marketing leads for the Company
  • Promote sales of Company's products to U.S. humanitarian organizations, and others as per above
  • Such further related activities as agreed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Business Administration or Marketing or related field plus a minimum of 4 years’ professional work experience with at least 2 years with an international ngo
  • Experience with and working knowledge of USG rules and regulations regarding acquisitions
  • Some working or technical knowledge related to vehicles
  • Proficiency in word processing, spread sheets and internet capabilities
  • Read, write and speak English fluently. Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
  • Ability to research and interpret information to respond to inquires
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
