Children's Services Specialist, Foster Care


This position provides case oversight, program monitoring, consultation, technical assistance, capacity development and training to a national network of foster care programs for foreign-born children including refugees, children seeking asylum, and child victims of human trafficking. This position also acts as a liaison between local foster care program staff and various stakeholders at the local, state and national levels, including federal government funding partners. In addition, this position tracks case and programmatic trends, systemic challenges, gaps in care and other special issues; and makes recommendations accordingly through white papers or presentations.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree required. Experience in Social Work, Child Welfare, Case Management, Mental Health, Juvenile Justice or related field. Knowledge of U.S. foster care, child protective systems, professional child welfare standards, mental health, child migration and dynamics of family separation. Excellent written and verbal language skills are required. Minimum 3 years of experience. Spanish preferred
