Description

About InterAction:
InterAction is the largest U.S.-based coalition of international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs)
with 175+ members working around the world in low- and middle-income countries, fragile and post conflict states, and emerging/growth economies. Member organizations are large and small, secular and faith-based, with a focus on people living in the world’s most poor and vulnerable places. The U.S.
public, foundations, and governments support the work of our member NGOs that collectively invest
and manage more than $15.4 billion a year. InterAction revenues come from dues, government grants,
private foundation and corporate grants, and a fee-for-service program portfolio. Using its collective
voice and convening power, InterAction seeks to shape important policy decisions and actions across a
wide range of issues – including foreign assistance, humanitarian relief, development, economic equity,
food security, and climate change – that advance human dignity, human potential, and self determination. InterAction simultaneously serves as a platform for networked learning so that
organizations across the sector can adapt and evolve their cultures and operations to best deliver on
their missions.

About the Position:
The Content Sr Associate/Coordinator and Editor leads the way in telling InterAction’s story—through both digital and traditional media. This cross-cutting position will work with teams across the organization to identify inspiring stories that illustrate the impact of our Members, how InterAction is a vital convener to the community and the work InterAction does to lead the way on issues like DEI, Climate Change, and
humanitarian policy. Reporting to the Creative and Digital Manager, the Content Coordinator and Editor will propose, draft and edit a wide range of material, including op-eds, success stories, research summaries, e-newsletters, and marketing materials.
This position is responsible for creating and updating social media posting schedules, replying to
comments from subscribers or liking tagged photos and coordinating with the Communications Team to
determine how to brand InterAction using social media. The ability to create content in multi-media
formats, such as graphics, videos, and podcasts, is a plus.
The Communications team is conducive to innovation, flexibility, and ample creative autonomy. We
appreciate out-of-the-box ideas, and this position should be willing to try new things. We collaborate,
