This position contributes to the calling of Medical Teams International through supporting the strategic growth areas and revenue objectives of the organization. This is done by leading digital marketing campaigns that promote Medical Teams International, enhance brand awareness within the digital space, and drive website traffic and acquire leads/new donors.

Digital Marketing

  • Plan, develop, implement and manage integrated digital marketing campaigns that promote Medical Teams International, including social media, website, email, search engine optimization, and other paid strategies, working with other members of the marketing team or external agency partners as appropriate.
  • Build brand awareness within the digital space and drive website traffic, acquiring leads and new donors
  • Identify and evaluate new digital technologies and use web analytics tools to measure and evaluate effectiveness of existing website, email marketing, social media platforms, and digital advertising and develop and implement improvement plans
  • Responsible for driving relevancy and engagement with the goal of improving brand recognition, trust and ultimately new donor conversion
  • Develop digital media strategies that put the brand in front of desired target audiences, analyze and synthesize web analytics to unearth insights and understanding about prospective target consumers
  • Oversee website development strategy, content creation, and active engagement efforts of website, blogs, and social media platforms
  • Execute the digital aspects of a humanitarian response, including constituent communications via website, email, digital advertising and social.
  • Manage the end-to-end digital process – including enhancing data capture of donors and following it through to accurate data entry of digital giving in CRM
  • Coordinate and lead digital efforts for online and offline events throughout the year, creating necessary digital components and follow-up to ensure the greatest ROI for these events
  • Track, analyze and communicate program performance vs. expectations. Provide insight and recommend action plans to address variances in performance against plans (all aligned against Key Performance Indicators).
  • Experimentation: Leverage data and customer insights to generate ideas for tests. Develop test-and-learn approaches and pilot communication tests that drive increased results.
  • Lead internal marketing staff and agencies to develop and deploy messaging and creative elements that enhance the donor experience.
  • Execute marketing communications in digital environment
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators of digital marketing efforts
  • Ensure excellence in usability of integrated digital experiences.
  • Implement Medical Teams branding and visual identity guidelines in digital environment.
  • Manage staff responsible for implementing digital programs.
  • Recommend to Medical Teams leadership and provide financial justification for annual budget; manage program financials.
  • Stay on top of industry trends by constantly exploring, recommending, using and optimizing digital tools and methods, vehicles and technologies to engage with various audiences. Continuously monitor and share relevant technology trends, competitive offerings and best-in-class executions.

Mass Donor Acquisition:

  • Develop and lead integrated mass donor acquisition strategy and execution through all relevant marketing channels.
  • Monitor donor acquisition analytics in order to make data driven adjustments as needed.
  • Drive growth of the mass donor base through ROI-driven decisions and investments.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Ensure the Safeguarding of program participants and employees through promoting an environment of awareness and upholding the code of conduct provisions of Medical Teams Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse, Child & Vulnerable Adult protection, and harassment-free workplace policies.
  • Utilize volunteers whenever possible.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATIONS                                                                                                                                         

REQUIRED:

  • BS or BA in marketing, digital marketing or related degree.
  • Valid Driver License.

EXPERIENCE                                                                                                                                                                                                      

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in digital marketing role.
  • Experience in digital marketing across multiple digital channels, audience segmentation, and offer development.
  • Proven marketing experience with digital media, digital advertising, social media, email marketing, SEO, SEM, mobile marketing, website marketing and digital analytics tools.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing direct reports.
  • Experience executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management and project leadership experience.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • History of setting and achieving “stretch” goals.
  • Proven experience with consumer-facing e-commerce and editorial/content experiences is strongly preferred.
  • Consistent track record of defining and propelling an emergent, growing product space.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the non-profit sector with responsibility for driving mass donor growth

  • Strong understanding of web development, web design, user experience, SEO, SEM, digital advertising, Google grant optimization, and content management with expert knowledge of industry best practices
  • Data analysis skills and the ability to extract value from reporting tools to synthesize insight into action
  • High level of technical expertise working with WordPress, marketing automation tools (ClickDimensions is currently used) and CRM, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook Business Manager.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining a high functioning, high performing work team.

Computer Skills:

  • Moderately skilled with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, and SharePoint.
  • Highly skilled with WordPress, marketing automation tools (such as ClickDimensions), Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Facebook Business Manager.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics CRM, or other database software.
