Director for the Office of Resettlement Services

 

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Office of Migration and Refugee Services (MRS) has an opening for a Director, Office of Resettlement Services. This position ensures the fulfillment of the Office of Resettlement Services mission, goals, and objectives and provides operational direction and strategic management to all resettlement programs administered by USCCB/MRS. The position manages MRS Resettlement Services, Diocesan Programs and Direct Assistance budgets, as well as the Resettlement Services national office budget, with a combined total of approximately $70M.

Required skills: leadership, strategic planning, management, supervisory and coaching, communication (including written and verbal), ability to develop and communicate a vision and consensus, team building skill, conflict resolution, budget oversight and analysis. Experience in Refugee resettlement program management; public policy; training; budget management; planning; leadership.  Proficiency in computer applications, financial management and public policy. Basic computer literacy, ability to use the Microsoft products Excel and Word and access information from MRS databases and from the internet. Graduate Degree preferred in Administration/Management; Behavioral and/or Social Sciences; Business Management. However, a combination of education and a minimum of 10 years of direct related experience may be substituted for a graduate degree. Desired familiarity with Catholic social service structure.
