Community Forklift is seeking a full-time Director of Administration and Human Resources (HR) to lead our Administrative Team. Ideal candidates have previous experience and expertise in effectively managing a small business or nonprofit. We are most interested a person who can:
- Create effective systems and ensure commensurate policies and procedures
- Enthusiastically support and assist in managing a range of staff needs (knowledge of benefits, HR policy, onboarding and personnel management)
- Provide guidance and implementation of tasks related to purchasing, security, data management, corporate calendaring, scheduling, and record keeping
- Lead staff to build the Community Forklift brand and ethos internally and through excellence in customer service
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that respect discretion and confidentiality
- Confidently create spreadsheets and systems for streamlining record keeping

- Office management and administration experience
- Proven integrity managing HR for a small to medium sized business
- Exceptional ability to work with and support a diverse staff
- Experience administering employee leave and benefits policies
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, is a self-starter, and possesses an entrepreneurial and creative approach in developing ideas and opportunities
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing insurance policies, licensing, and compliance
- Knowledge of workplace best practices and protocols for office and personnel administration
- Excellent customer service skills
- Leadership for the ongoing development of office policies and procedures
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work well in a cooperative team-based environment
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust graciously to changing priorities
