Our team:

The Chief Executive’s Office is vital to running of Oxfam GB. As part of a small, dynamic team this role offers an exciting challenge providing high level business support to our Chief Executive, Chair of Trustees and Head of Governance in their respective roles of governance and management of Oxfam GB.

What we are looking for:

As the Executive and Board Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting Oxfam GB’s Leadership Team and Board of Trustees to achieve the highest standards of governance, a clear strategic direction and robust plans to achieve our goals. You will deal with a wide range of external and internal contacts, using good judgement and diplomacy. You will have business support/administration experience working with senior stakeholders, great interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive approach to solving problems and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

The role offers plenty of variety from project managing the regular Leadership Team meetings and Board meetings and organising Trustee recruitment and induction to arranging Trustee visits to some of the countries where Oxfam runs humanitarian and development programmes.

You will be expected to work with conflicting priorities and to tight deadlines and to handle all information in a sensitive and confidential manner. You’ll need a sharp attention to detail and the willingness to lend support when needed in this small dynamic, busy team that sits right at the very heart of Oxfam GB.
