Description

The positions focus on the three major Resettlement Services Programs, Reception and Placement (R&P), Voluntary Agencies Matching Grant (MG), Preferred Communities (PC), and Parishes Organized to Welcome Refugees and Immigrants (POWIR), this position:

Assists in the preparation and negotiations of competitive and continuation grant proposals, develops Memorandums of Understanding with subrecipients, and designs operational and documentation plans reflecting contractual requirements. Responsible for the timely completion and submission of quality reports to funders as applicable and interfacing with funding sources in coordination with the Associate Director of Grants and Programs Administration (AD GPA). Provides ongoing technical assistance around grants administration to programming staff and partners and provides broad support to Resettlement Services activities through active participation in structured teams. Number of Years Required:  3-5 years

Education Level: Undergraduate degree; graduate degree preferred. Major Field/Specialty:  Program Administration and Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or International Studies

Other Specialized Training: (i.e., word processing, personal computer, etc.)

  • Management experience
  • Knowledge of government and non-profit organizational systems
  • Standard PC software applications: MS Word; Excel; SharePoint; Outlook; MIP Accounting System; Microix
  • Understanding of database management
  • Knowledge of Catholic and non-Catholic social service networks

Type and Nature of Professional Experience:

  • Ability to design effective operational plans and formulate applicable policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiating contracts.
  • Organizational skills,
  • Demonstrated experience in program evaluation.
  • Management experience in domestic refugee programs; grants administration; budget development; computers; communications; writing.
