MAG America is seeking an experienced Grants Manager to maintain and strengthen U.S. government donor relations and expand federal grant opportunities in the U.S.


Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is an international humanitarian nongovernmental organization with a mission to save lives and build safer futures by clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance from countries that have experienced conflict. Our vision is a safe future for men, women, and children affected by conflict and insecurity. Since 1989, we have helped over 20 million people in 68 countries rebuild their lives and livelihoods after war. MAG currently works in 27 countries, across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Our programs vary in scale, age, and complexity, but each presents its own unique opportunities and challenges.


MAG has its global headquarters in the United Kingdom. MAG America is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, with an independent staff and Board of Directors. MAG America is MAG’s partner organization in the United States, based in Washington D.C. and responsible for raising awareness and funds to support MAG's work.


MAG America is seeking an experienced and dynamic Grants Manager to ensure that we maintain strong U.S. Government donor relations and expand grant opportunities in the U.S. by ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals and reports, monitoring and ensuring grant performance and providing U.S. Government award compliance oversight and guidance. The Grants Manager position is the focal point for all MAG and donor contractual and compliance related matters. The Grants Manager reports directly to the Director of U.S. Strategic Partnerships.



  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Proven experience with federal grants and/or contracts.
  • Detailed knowledge of US Government OMB, specifically the Code of Federal Regulations (ex 2 CFR 200), regulations.
  • Experience with strategic donor liaison or prior working experience with U.S. Government agencies.
  • Commitment to exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information and data.
  • Ability to work within a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to approach issues with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability to network and establish effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate skillfully and persuasively, both orally and in written form.
  • Personal commitment to MAG’s philosophy, work, and mission.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
