Grant Manager and General Accounting

Summary/Objective

Primary responsibility to support the general accounting activities for the U.S. Programs and is responsible for the effective management of approximately $1,000,000 of annual grants and cash flow. This is a deadline-driven position that requires financial competency and great attention to detail.

  • Monthly/quarterly invoice preparation
  • Funder financial reports
  • Program and grant budgets preparation
  • Salaries and non-salaries road maps development/maintenance/execution
  • Budget modifications
  • Grants/contracts financial administration
  • Financial analysis and reporting
  • Timesheet and expense report administration
  • Forecasting
  • Business financial planning/modeling
  • Point of contact for office maintenance, mailing, shipping, equipment, bills and errands
  • Monitors actual expenses against approved budgets, investigates anomalies, and reports significant variances to management for resolution;
  • Organize office operations and procedures as it relates to Accounting
  • Coordinate with other departments on expenses and accounts payable
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and landlord, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time

Work Environment

The job will be a combination of on-site and hybrid (office and remote) combination. The employee needs to ensure he/she has a work area conducive of productive work with minimal distractions when working remote.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, is preferred, or 5 years of equivalent experience
