  • Create/improve templates in Canva for other team members to use.
  • Improve InDesign templates for standard graphics as needed.
  • Provide desktop publishing/formatting support.
  • Provide presentation formatting and graphics support.
  • Further develop corporate branding guidelines.

  • Complete other tasks related to corporate communications as needed, including supporting the internal communications manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum five years of experience in graphic design, preferably within an international development context.
  • Experience producing data visualizations preferred. Training support to build competency in this area will be provided as needed.
  • Proven ability to take in complex information, clarify design and messaging expectations, develop concepts, and execute highly effective graphics on deadline.
  • Proficiency and demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software for design: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; Premiere a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization software, such as Tableau, a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Canva.com a plus.
  • Strong messaging and writing skills.
  • Experience developing graphics that take into account cultural norms, sensitivities, and traditions.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to think creatively to solve problems, and attention to detail.
  • Team player who is comfortable in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively within and across teams.
  • Experience living or studying abroad in a developing country a plus.
