Description

Overview
Founded in 1984, InterAction is the largest alliance of international NGOs and partners in the United States. We mobilize our 180-plus members to think and act collectively to serve the world’s poor and vulnerable, with a shared belief that we can make the world a more peaceful, just and prosperous place – together. InterAction works with member organizations to implement systems and tools that prevent and respond to sexual abuse and harassment incidents as a means to create safe environments for NGO staff and the communities they serve.
Translators Without Borders is a non-profit organization that aims to close the language gaps that hinder critical humanitarian efforts worldwide. Translators without Borders was founded in 1993 to provide volunteer translations to non-profit organizations. In the last five years TWB has translated over 50 million words of life-saving and life-changing content in over 250 language pairs. TWB works with hundreds of non-profit organizations, helping them reach their beneficiaries and audiences in their languages. TWB is working hard in the non-profit world to spread the word of language and the importance of communicating in the end user’s language. TWB is particularly interested in working with those organizations who understand that principle.
InterAction seeks a video production company to:
• produce a 5-7 minute animated video on the IASC 6 core principles on the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), with a professional voice-over in English.
• 5-6 infographics/still frames from the video selected by InterAction and TWB.

Objectives
To create a film suitable for use across a range of humanitarian crises to support PSEA awareness training, such that viewers:
 Recognize the power imbalances inherent in humanitarian crises and in relation to the role of humanitarian workers
 Understand their responsibility not to use their power to sexually abuse or exploit people affected by a crisis
 Understand their responsibility to report concerns of PSEA appropriately

InterAction and TWB will determine the content outline, script, and animation style.

Period of performance:
The video will need to be finalized no later than December 31, 2019

Audience
The film is aimed at those who are not yet familiar with PSEA principals and who may be new to humanitarian work. The audience may include new frontline humanitarian practitioners, contractors, service providers, emergency responders, temporarily engaged field staff such as enumerators.
