Description

Ending extreme poverty, whatever it takes.

We are an international humanitarian organisation that strives for a world free from poverty, fear and oppression. Our vision, our mission and our work are all defined by one goal – ending extreme poverty, whatever it takes. We believe that no-one should have to live in fear that they won't have a home to sleep in or enough food to feed their children. We deliver lifesaving and life-changing interventions to the world's poorest and most vulnerable people. From rapid emergency response to innovative development programming, we go to the hardest to reach places to make sure that no-one is left behind.

Concern is now seeking an exceptional International Programme Director to lead our programmes team and directorate in expanding the impact and reach of Concern’s work across 23 countries. Reporting to the Chief Executive and as a member of the Senior Management Team, you will play an active role in the intellectual leadership, strategy development, planning and innovation across Concern globally.

This role offers a unique opportunity for someone with a passion to make a difference in the lives to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. You will be a highly motivating and strategic leader with experience of developing and implementing programming and emergency responses globally. You will bring the courage to operate in the most challenging contexts by balancing necessary risks with sound judgment and a commitment to reach the poorest and most vulnerable.

To apply or to download further information on the required qualifications, skills and experience for the role, please visit https://candidates.perrettlaver.com/vacancies/ quoting reference 4801. The deadline for applications is 5pm BST, 14th October 2020.

The role is based in Dublin, Ireland and the salary is competitive with market rate and commensurate with the seniority of the appointment. Concern is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
