We hold world leaders to account for the promises made to the poorest, and we press them to support better policies and more effective aid and trade reform. We also work with leaders in Africa to support greater democracy, accountability and transparency so these resources can be effectively deployed. ONE operates from Abuja, Berlin, Brussels, Johannesburg, London, New York City, Ottawa, Paris, Rotterdam and Washington DC.

The Manager, College Organizing is responsible for leading on all aspects of the ONE Campus program in the Central U.S. Region. ONE Campus works to advance the advocacy goals of ONE by mobilizing college students to advocate to their elected leaders. The Manager will be responsible for training, supporting, strengthening, and mobilizing existing ONE Campus chapters as well as recruiting and developing new chapters in strategically important locations. The Manager for College Organizing will manage ONE Campus organizing in the Central U.S. and requires significant travel. This position will be based in the region with preference given for hub cities with easy travel access, and reports directly to the Director, College Organizing.


  • Create and implement campus-specific advocacy campaigns to advance ONE’s legislative and policy priorities and effectively mobilize college constituencies to high-bar advocacy action
  • Manage the network of regional ONE Campus chapters through onboarding, outreach, training and coaching both virtually and in-person.
  • Plan and execute travel (up 45% of time) to campuses in targeted congressional districts to recruit new campus leaders and expand the ONE Campus grassroots presence
  • Work with central U.S. Regional Field Directors to supplement their work organizing Congressional District Leaders and Volunteer Leadership teams (up to 25% of time).
  • Help to manage ONE Campus communications and digital content including email blasts, Campus Leader emails and newsletters, monthly video calls, blog posts, social media accounts, training guides, videos, and templates
  • Compile, track, and report ONE Campus metrics
  • Other duties as relevant to the role


  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications or a related field.
  • Three years’ experience mobilizing and organizing, strong relationship management and leadership development skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with college students and young people in an organizing capacity, knowledge of how to work on campus and with universities
  • Acute political skills
  • Adept at social media and digital platforms including but not limited to: Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize projects, ability to work independently under virtual supervision, ability to set goals and get results
  • Ability to work long and occasionally irregular hours, including some weekends
