About InterAction:

About the Position:

Position Title:     Membership & Standards Manager

Position Type:   Full-time, Long-term

Location:              Washington, DC

Travel:                  0-10% (Domestic)

Reports to:          Senior Director, Membership & Standards

 

Responsibilities:

Member Services

  • Assist the Senior Director in executing overall membership strategy based on the organizational strategic direction and how potential members would benefit from membership in InterAction.
  • Manage dues calculation and collection. Work closely with Finance & Administration on membership dues invoicing and tracking.
  • Collect, organize and analyze membership data.
  • Produce reports that identify membership trends and make targeted recommendations.
  • Support communications with and between members.
  • Draft, edit and distribute correspondence with member staff and leadership.
  • Maintain the membership web site pages and team fact sheets.
  • Conduct new member webinars on InterAction and its membership benefits.
  • Host high level meetings with prospective members.

Standards

  • Support the Senior Director in managing the bi-annual Self-Certification Plus process including identifying/hiring temporary support, management of workflow, performance evaluation and feedback.

Other

  • Assist the Senior Director with the needs and management of the Membership & Standards Committee.
  • Develop presentations for Board and CEO Level meetings.
  • Participate in various internal committees and task forces.
  • Other duties as assigned.

External Relations: Members, prospects, membership committee and board members, and outside vendors

 

Candidate Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 4 years of professional experience in a related field (Nonprofit Management, Business Administration)
  • Association Management experience preferred
  • Prior experience working with a CRM (Salesforce experience preferred)
  • Proficient at triaging competing priorities, and unafraid to seek guidance when needed
  • Ability to interface with all staff and member levels including CEOs
  • Strong organizational skills including strong office/clerical skills and experience
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced skills with MS Excel preferred)
  • Strong ethics
  • Excellent speaking, presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity of Knowledge Management System a plus
  • Sense of humor a plus plus
