Description

The Policy Advisor for the Office of Migration and Refugee Services provides the Conference and the bishops with policy analysis and recommendations on forced migration policy issues.  The position represents the Conference in coalition work and at national and international meetings on these subjects.  As required, Prepares delivers congressional testimony, reports, advocacy papers, backgrounders, and action alerts,  Contributes to the Bishops’ strategic plan for the Conference. Masters’ Degree, J.D. Strongly preferred but not required if there is extensive experience. (3-5) years of relevant experience in a related field. Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching Knowledge of migration laws Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite software. The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively in a changing environment.
