We are looking for an experienced, personable multi-tasker to join our Special Events fundraising team. With the support of the Head of Special Events, this role will manage and support on some of our most exciting events. These include one of Action Against Hunger’s high profile events, working closely with one our top restaurant supporters, facilitating a lively gala dinner; a large-scale stewardship event to celebrate our 40th Anniversary and supporting the Events Manager to lead the scale-up of our successful Auction Against Hunger.

The post holder may also take responsibility for one or more ad-hoc beneficiary events during the year, support the team with other key events, and lead on research projects into event concepts/partnerships, subsequently undertaking initial steps into operationalising new activities.

The post holder will hold budgetary responsibility for an income of more than £75,000 and will oversee all expenditure for these events, to ensure excellent return on investment for each event.

We are looking for a flexible team player with great interpersonal skills who has an incredible eye for detail. Calm in any situation, you can quickly get to grips with the task and see it through successfully to completion. You are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, and can bring individuals together to meet an end goal.

The position will be well-suited to someone who wishes to work on an ambitious events project, raising funds for a leading international humanitarian organisation that makes a difference to the lives of thousands of malnourished children and their families every year.
