Description

HIAS seeks a Talent and Acquisition Manager to oversee HIAS’ talent acquisition strategy across the organization. The Talent and Acquisition Manager will partner with leadership to create a strategy that is in alignment with organizational priorities, values and culture. They will build relationships with Hiring Managers, International HR Officers, and Regional Directors across the globe to ensure the successful staffing and onboarding of qualified hires. Furthermore, they will develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and enhance hiring plans and strategies that will allow the organization to create robust employer branding activities.
  • Develop and create plans to build recruitment capacity for hiring managers across the organization.
  • Oversee all ATS and other related technology for talent acquisition to ensure the best possible candidate experience.
  • Ensure that HIAS’ recruitment policies and procedures align with HIAS’ diversity and inclusion policies and procedures along with meets HIAS PSEA and Safeguarding standards.
  • Build and maintain rosters in alignment with HIAS’ Emergency Response program.
  • Establish recruiting metrics such as Time-to-FillTime-to-Hire, and Quality-of-Hire through the internal Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to better establish the Return on Investment (ROI) for qualified hires.
  • Design and manage recruitment and selection process, which includes but not limited to coordinating with hiring managers to determine recruitment needs, developing recruitment plans, facilitating the recruitment process, conducting initial phone screening with candidates, and presenting a shortlist to hiring managers for review.
  • Assist in drafting job descriptions and consulting agreements, and in collaboration with compensation, vendors will ensure positions are graded fairly and equitably based on the market data.
  • Administer and submit all hiring paperwork for new employees.
  • Communicate with the HR and Operations department to get a clear view of HIAS’ hiring needs to ensure it aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Build long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with Administration and IT to lead the development of a robust onboarding process for new hires that aligns with the HIAS’ organization culture.
  • Partner with staffing agencies, coordinate the employment of temporary employees and interns, and work to build a pipeline of temporary staff.
  • Conduct a continuing study of all HR policies, programs, and practices to stay abreast of current trends within the industry.
  • Work with the international HR team and Regional Directors on recruitment processes by drafting and reviewing of international labor agreements and contracts, creating HR policies and procedures for country offices, advertising positions for field roles, and scheduling interviews for international roles.
  • Provide weekly recruitment report for the HIAS Executive Leadership team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Business Administration, International Relations or another relevant field; graduate degree in Communication, Education, or Human Resources strongly preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of professional experience in Human Resources and Administration/Operations.
  • Experience with Paylocity HRIS and Clear Company ATS highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, project and time management, customer service, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong cross-cultural skills and ability to support diverse organizational staff.
  • Must be a self-starter who is detail-oriented and possesses sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
