Keystone Human Services – Vice President of Business Development

Reporting to the President/CEO, the Vice President of Business Development will lead the business development efforts of Keystone Human Services. The Vice President of Business Development will work collaboratively with leadership to develop and implement strategy and ensure the achievement of strategic business development goals and the successful implementation of related initiatives. The Vice President will support the expansion of existing business as well as develop new business.

Keystone Human Services is the parent organization of six nonprofit subsidiary companies. Keystone Human Services has annual revenue of approximately $200 million and is headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Our 3,200 employees serve individuals and families in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Moldova and India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads, while partnering with the President/CEO and senior leadership, the review and exploration of business development strategy.

 

  • Leads the development and implementation of a Corporate Business Development Plan, including business development strategies such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Technical Assistance services and other collaborations, incorporating a short-term and long-term perspective.

 

  • Monitors market and industry data and trends and shares market and industry developments with senior leadership to propose business strategy and business development opportunities and inform business development decisions.

 

  • Partners with leadership in exploring desirable opportunities of contracting, partnership, affiliations, and collaborative activity with other organizations including, but not limited to government entities, managed care organizations, development organizations, universities, and other social service organizations.

 

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with Government entities, Development Agencies/Organizations and Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and other potential funders in collaboration with other senior leadership members.

 

  • Oversees the researching and monitoring of RFP offerings and the process for proposal selection and proposal writing.

 

  • Drives organizational capacity by developing and empowering operational leaders to increase their impact to the organization.

Qualified candidates will have 10 years of progressive experience in nonprofit human/social services developing strategies and business development plans, along with experience in creating and operating programs and services.

Seeking applicants with outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, including the ability to recognize and cultivate partnerships, client relations and development of rising talent.  Experience developing and implementing plans for operational infrastructure of systems, policies, processes and staff a must.

We require an advanced degree in a relevant field.
