Heifer International is a dynamic non-profit organization that works in partnership with others to alleviate hunger, poverty and environmental degradation. Heifer helps impoverished families become self-reliant by providing them with food and income producing animals and training.
Since 1944, Heifer International has helped more than 8.5 million families in 125 countries. Each family "passes on the gift" by giving one or more of its animal's offspring to another family in need.
