How much does it cost to post a job?

Please see our pricing page for information on job post costs and durations. If you anticipate posting several jobs throughout the year, consider purchasing a package to receive a bulk discount.

NGO Job Board only accepts credit card payments. No other form of payment is accepted.

What is the difference between Featured posts and Standard posts?

Standard job posts appear for the specified number of days purchased, are included in weekly email blasts to more than 28,000 subscribers, and are tweeted to InterAction’s 29,000+ Twitter followers. Posts also appear on NGO Job Board’s own Twitter timeline and Facebook page. Standard posts appear below Featured posts.

Featured job posts have all the attributes of Standard posts. In addition, Featured posts are highlighted in white and appear at the top of NGO Job Board’s homepage (above all Standard posts). Featured posts also display at the top of all relevant search results. All Featured posts rotate on InterAction’s homepage in a prominently positioned above-the-fold box. Featured posts receive the most exposure.

How do I post a job?

Simply click on the large POST A JOB button at the top of every page.

Create your ad. Complete all the required fields, entering as much detail as possible. Please note that the email address you supply under “Organization Information” will receive the purchase receipt. This same email address will also receive all application submissions unless you specify an applications URL, in which case applicants will be taken to the site you indicate.

Next, Preview how your job post will look when published. If you need to make changes, you can choose to Edit the post further. If you are satisfied with how it looks, go ahead and Publish it. Once you choose to Publish the post, it is now saved and can be accessed at any time by going to My Posts > Pending.

The Publish page is where you will pay for your job post. If you have a discount code, you can enter it here and the discount will be instantly reflected in the price. Enter your credit card information or choose from a card you’ve previously saved. For security reasons, we do NOT store credit card information on our server.

If you need to come back later to finish payment, don’t worry — your job post is saved. See “How do I complete a post I started but didn’t finish?” for more information.

How do I edit an active job post?

Go to My Posts and click on the “Edit” option next to the job post you wish to modify.

How do I republish an expired job post?

Go to My Posts > Expired and click on the “cog” icon next to the job post you wish to modify. Select “Republish” from the drop down menu. Your expired job information will be automatically entered into the Create Ad form and you will be asked to select a new price/duration. You can then Preview and Publish the post.

How do I complete a job post I started but didn't finish?

Once you’ve Previewed and Published a post, it can be accessed at any time by going to My Posts > Pending. You can choose to Edit the post or click on the “More” option if you simply need to complete payment.

Note that if you navigate away from the Create Ad or Preview pages without Publishing your post, your job information will NOT be saved and will need to be reentered from scratch.

How long does it take for my job post to show up on the site?

Once payment has been made, your job post will appear on the site immediately.

How do I purchase a post package and receive a free post?

If you are likely to post many jobs on NGO Job Board, you’ll want to take advantage of our Post Packages. Currently you’ll get a FREE job post when you buy a package of 10 Standard or Feature 30-day posts. That’s a savings of up to $275!

Simply go to My Account and select “Post Packages“. Choose the package you’d like and enter your payment information.

Once you’ve purchased a package, you can always go to “Post Packages” to see how many posts you have left to use and when they will expire.

Package posts are good for one year and any posts not used after the expiration date will be lost. However each new package purchase extends the life of all existing packages by an additional 365 days. So if, for example, your current package is due to expire soon and you have 2 unused posts remaining, by purchasing a new package of 10 posts (+1 free post), you’ll have another 365 days in which to use all 13 posts. Likewise, if you bought two packages on the same day, you’d have 730 days to use all 22 posts.

How do I search resumes?

Our Resume Library is filled with the credentials of hundreds of skilled NGO professionals. To preserve the privacy of job seekers and limit access to their personal information (to the best of our ability), access to our Resume Library is granted only to verified human resource professionals and hiring managers. To gain access you can request verification.

How do I change my Employer account password?

Go to My Account and select “Change Password“.

How do I delete my Employer account?

Go to My Account and select “Delete My Account“. All data associated with your account will be erased.

How do I create a Job Alert?

You can be notified by email or through an RSS feed whenever a new job is posted that matches your interests. To create a new Job Alert, enter your desired search criteria into the Targeted Search box on the NGO Job Board homepage and run the search. Once results are displayed, choose “Subscribe Now” from the Free Job Alerts box. A pop up box will appear where you can enter your email address and choose to be notified of new job posts either daily or weekly. You can create as many job alerts as you wish.

How do I unsubscribe from a Job Alert?

To stop receiving job alerts, simply click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the job alert email. If you would like to resubscribe, you can create a new job alert at any time.

How do I bookmark a job I am interested in?

You can create a list of all the job posts you are interested in. Simply select “Bookmark” at the bottom of a job post. Your list of bookmarked jobs are collected at My Bookmarks.

How do I apply for a job I am interested in?

You can apply for jobs one of two ways: At the bottom of a job’s description, if the button says Apply, you will be taken to the employer’s site to complete the application process. If the button says Apply Online, you can complete and send an application form directly from NGO Job Board. You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging your application has been sent. A list of all applications you have sent through NGO Job Board are listed at My Applications.

I've created an online resume. Why does it say it is not 100% complete?

For your resume to be considered 100% complete, ALL fields must be completed. This includes adding a message to employers and uploading a photo, resume and cover letter. If you choose, your online resume will be added to the NGO Job Board resume library that employers can search. To apply for jobs through our site, it is not necessary to create an online resume. You can attach your own resume and cover letter files directly to your application.

I don't want my online resume to be visible to others. How do I restrict access to it?

By default, your online resume is NOT visible to others. If you would like to have your resume show up in NGO Job Board’s resume library and have it searchable by employers, simply check the Privacy box found under “Your Contact Information”.

How do I change my Job Seeker account password?

Go to My Profile and select “Change Password“.

How do I delete my Job Seeker account?

Go to My Profile and select “Delete My Account“. All data associated with your account will be erased.
