The Opportunity

In preparation for an upcoming opportunity, KonTerra seeks a licensed Senior Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the Washington, DC (DMV) area to fill a Program Manager role. The position is responsible for directing services, providing quality supervision for a team of counselors, and contributing to strategic discussions. Candidates must have demonstrated experience working in humanitarian assistance settings and/or with professionals working in that sector.

This is a hybrid role that will typically operate during U.S. Eastern Standard (EST) business hours. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensure
  • A Master of Social Work degree
  • At least twelve years of experience providing mental health counseling in a humanitarian context or supporting those engaged in humanitarian response
  • At least four years of experience managing teams of counselors
  • Demonstrated skills in individual counseling and group therapy
  • Experience delivering trauma-informed counseling
  • Experience providing psychological first aid training
  • Proficiency in English
