How much does it cost to post a job?
Please see our Pricing page for information on job post costs and durations. If you anticipate posting several jobs, consider purchasing a Post Package to receive a bulk discount.

NGO Job Board only accepts credit card payments.

What is the difference between Featured posts and Standard posts?

Standard job posts appear for the specified number of days purchased, are included in weekly email blasts to more than 22,000 subscribers, and are tweeted to InterAction’s 35,000+ Twitter followers. Posts also appear on NGO Job Board’s own Twitter timeline and Facebook page. Standard posts appear below Featured posts.

Featured job posts have all the attributes of Standard posts. In addition, Featured posts are highlighted and appear at the top of NGO Job Board’s homepage (above all Standard posts). Featured posts are also displayed at the top of all related posts lists and all relevant search results. Featured posts receive the most exposure.

How do I post a job?
Simply click on Posts > + Add Post or the large POST A JOB button at the top of every page.

First Enter the Post Info. Complete all the required fields, entering as much detail as possible.

If you have saved a logo in your Organization Profile, it will automatically be added to all new posts. If you are a recruiter who posts for many different organizations, you can change the logo used for each post individually.

Next, Preview how your post will look when published. You can go back and edit the post if needed. When you are satisfied with how it looks, click the Publish Post button. Once you arrive on the payment page, the post is saved and can be accessed at any time by going to Posts > Post History.

The Publish page is where you will pay for your post. If you have a discount code, enter it here and the price will change accordingly. Enter your credit card information or choose from a card you’ve previously saved. For security reasons, we do not store credit card information on our server.

Please note that the email address you supply when creating the post will receive the purchase receipt.

If you need to come back later to finish payment, don’t worry — your job post is saved. See “How do I complete a post I started but didn’t finish?” for more information.

How do applicants apply to a job post?
For each post, you can choose to have applicants apply in three different ways:

Through NGO Job Board. Applicants will be shown an “Application Form” button, which will allow them to send their contact info, cover letter and resume/CV to the employer directly. Applications will be sent to all of the email addresses you designate.

An external website. Applicants will be shown a “Visit Application Site” button which will take them to the URL you specify.

Information supplied in post description. Employers can include directions on how to apply in the post’s description itself.

Employers can choose any combination of application methods for each post. Default settings applied to all new posts can be set in your Organization Profile.

How do I change an active job post?
Go to Posts > Post History and click on the “Edit” option below the job post you wish to modify.
How do I republish an expired post?
Go to Posts > Post History and click on the Expired tab. Click on the “More” button below the post you wish to modify. Select “Republish” from the expanded menu. The existing post information will be automatically imported into the Add Post form and you will be asked to select a new price/duration. You can then Preview and Publish the post.
How do I complete a job post I started but didn't finish?
When adding a post, if you’ve gotten to the payment page the post is now saved to your post history at Posts > Post History. You can choose to edit the post or click on the “More” option to make a payment.

Note that when creating a post, if you navigate away without getting to the payment page, your post information will NOT be saved and will need to be reentered from scratch.

How long does it take for my job post to show up on the site?
Once payment has been made, your post will immediately appear on the site.
How do I purchase a post package and receive a free post?
If you are likely to post many jobs on NGO Job Board, you will want to take advantage of our Post Packages. You’ll get a FREE job post when you buy a package of 10 Standard or 10 Featured 30-day posts. That’s a savings of up to $280!

Simply go to Posts > Post Packages and choose the package you’d like.

Once your purchased is complete, you can always visit Posts > Post Packages to see your active packages and how many posts you have left to use.

Post packages never expire, so use the posts whenever you like.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

How do I search resumes/CVs?
Our Resume/CV Library is filled with the credentials of thousands of skilled NGO professionals. Employers can search by location, skill area, and keywords.

To preserve the privacy of job seekers and limit access to their personal information (to the best of our ability), access is granted only to verified human resource professionals and hiring managers. To gain access, please request verification.

Can I add other people from my organization to my account?
Yes! An employer may authorize additional users to share their organization’s account. This is especially useful for large organizations or recruiters who have multiple staff members posting jobs — it helps to keep records all in one place. Also, if there is staff turnover, all records are still available to remaining users.

Authorized users have access to all actions the primary user does, except for the the ability to add/remove users.

To authorize a user, go to Management > Additional Users and submit the user’s email address. Their status in the Authorized Users list will display as “Pending”.

If the user already has an employer account:
The user will receive an email asking them to confirm their email address. Once confirmed, their status in the Authorized Users list will change to “Accepted” and their profile, posts, applications, etc. will be replaced with those of the primary user. The user cannot access data from their previous Employer account unless they are deauthorized by the primary user.

If the user is new to NGO Job Board:
The user will receive an email with a temporary password and a link to confirm their email address. Once they confirm their email and login, their status in the Authorized Users list will change to “Accepted”.

How do I manage my email peferences?

Job Seekers Questions

How do I apply for a job?
You can apply for jobs in two ways:

If there is an Application Form button, you may send your contact info, cover letter and resume/CV to the employer directly. You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging your application has been sent. A list of all applications you have sent through NGO Job Board are listed at Applications.

If there is a Visit Application Site button, you will be sent to the employer’s site to complete the application process.

The employer may have specific instructions on applying in the post description — please be sure to read it carefully!

How do I bookmark a post?
You can create a list of all the posts you are interested in. Simply log in and select “Bookmark” at the bottom of the post.

All of your bookmarked jobs are listed at Bookmarks.

What is a job alert?
You can be notified by email whenever a new post matches your interests.

Log in and go to Job Alerts. Create a new alert by clicking “+ Add New Alert” and entering an email address to send the alert to. Alerts can be sent daily or weekly.

Add parameters to receive alerts for posts that match your specific interests. Each alert may have multiple parameters, but only one parameter per type. For example, you can create an alert for all jobs located in Nepal, that require a Master’s degree, and that have a minimum base salary of $70,000 – 80,000. However, if you would like to be updated on all jobs located in Nepal OR Zimbabwe, you must create a separate alert for each location.

Up to 20 job alerts can created per user.

To stop receiving job alerts, simply click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the job alert email or remove it on the Job Alerts page. If you would like to resubscribe, you can create a new job alert at any time.

I've filled out the resume/CV form. Why does it say it is not 100% complete?
For your resume/CV to be considered 100% complete, ALL fields must be completed. This includes adding a message to employers and uploading a photo, resume/CV and cover letter.  Note: your resume/CV does NOT need to be 100% complete to apply for jobs.

If you choose, your resume/CV will be added to NGO Job Board’s resume/CV library that employers and recruiters can search. To apply for jobs through NGO Job Board, it is NOT necessary to complete the resume/CV form. You can attach your own resume/CV and cover letter files directly to your application.

I don't want my resume/CV to be visible to others. How do I restrict access to it?
By default, your resume/CV is NOT visible to others. If you would like it to display in NGO Job Board’s resume/CV library and have it searchable by employers, simply check the Privacy box found near the top of your resume/CV form.
