Organization information
Airlink was conceived by aviation professionals with the express purpose to facilitate a broad partnership between the commercial aviation and nonprofit communities. We utilize donated commercial aviation capacity on commercial air carriers to support NGOs in the humanitarian relief efforts - at relatively low cost or free of charge to the nonprofits.
Currently, Airlink is responding to the Ebola outbreak by organizing and funding multiple wide body cargo flights from Europe and North America to West Africa. Since its inception in 2010, Airlink's has worked with its airline partners to respond to a number of rapid-onset disasters, including the earthquake in Haiti, the tsunami in Japan, Hurricane Sandy and numerous tornadoes in the US, Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, and the Ebola crisis in West Africa. In addition, Airlink's airline partners have assisted many organizations in addressing ongoing issues in the developing world, such as access to clean water, food, shelter, medical aid, and education.
