Organization information

The mission of Jesuit Refugee Service/USA is to accompany, serve, and advocate for refugees and forcibly displaced persons. JRS is a work of the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic congregation commonly known as “Jesuits”, which serves in a strict non-proselytizing fashion individuals and communities regardless of race, ethnic origin, or religious beliefs. JRS works in more than 50 countries worldwide to meet the educational, health, and social needs of nearly 1 million refugees and other forcibly displaced persons, more than half of whom are women.
