Description

DESCRIPTION

JSI is a global nonprofit dedicated to improving people’s lives in the United States and around the world through greater health, education, and socioeconomic equity for individuals and communities.

To contribute to this mission, JSI is seeking an experienced leader to serve as EVP of Planning and Innovation.

In a rapidly changing international funding and localization landscape, JSI is looking to reimagine its future role as a sustainable, international NGO and to ensure the growth of our vibrant domestic business. We seek a strategic leader who is captivated by the future of international development and domestic health and education to establish a long-term plan for JSI’s next generation. This position will be responsible for corporate level strategic positioning across the divisions at JSI and World Education.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all parts of our business, including technical assistance, project implementation, localization trends, and the market landscape. In addition, they will have the ability to predict and plan for future priorities, to break down organizational silos, establish and strengthen internal systems, and to think outside the box. Above all, they will be committed to JSI’s mission to improve health and education outcomes for all. They will steer JSI toward the long-term funding opportunities that best leverage our diverse technical experience in health and education; analyze the growing merger & acquisition trends in our industry; reimagine our external positioning as an INGO as well as a changemaker in U.S. public health and publicly funded healthcare systems and policy; and strategically integrate the technical strengths and growth priorities of our various divisions.

The EVP will be a seasoned, highly successful leader and will report to the CEO, regularly briefing JSI’s board. This is an opportunity for the right person to have a significant impact on a long-respected organization whose work has benefited millions of people around the world, at a time of opportunity and change in the sector.

As a senior leader at JSI, the ideal EVP will build tools and processes for collaboration toward shared goals across the global organization, and will strengthen a culture of establishing and supporting enterprise-wide strategic priorities.

The preference is for this position to be based in Boston or Washington DC.
