Introducing INACH
INACH stands for the International Network Against Cyber Hate and aims to combat
discrimination on the Internet. The organization was founded in 2002 under Dutch law and has
its office in Amsterdam. INACH unites many varied organizations around the world, incorporating
different cultural backgrounds and speaking a multitude of languages. It has a diverse
perspective, allowing the network to counter and address all forms of online discrimination. It
unites and empowers international, national and local organizations as well as individuals who
are active in the implementation of human rights on the internet. Its aim is to promote online
respect, responsibility and citizenship through countering cyber hate, extremism and violence
incitement and by raising awareness about online discrimination. As our motto says we bring the
online in line with human rights.
Hours: 16 hours per week
Salary: 1600 euros bruto per month

Description of the job
The sustainability and fundraising officer position is about providing assistance in identifying
donor resources, raising funds and writing proposals for short- and long-term organizational
sustainability. They will be responsible for developing, implementing and delivering the
organization's financial sustainability plan which includes fund raising from institutional,
corporate and individual donors. They will also explore new avenues of funding and enhance
INACH's sustainability by diversifying the funding sources.
INACH has almost 30 members worldwide, so there are hundreds of colleagues all around the
world. Nonetheless, this officer will be working more closely with the Secretariat of INACH,
mostly based in Amsterdam. Working from abroad is however possible, although being located
in the Netherlands and being able to travel to the office in Amsterdam occasionally is a plus. This
job has flexible hours, and is based on reaching targets and goals.
Responsibilities
• Compile and maintain a database of international and local donor organizations;
• Regularly monitor donor websites, identify and inform donor opportunities matching the
work of the organization;
• Write concept notes, project ideas proposals and ensure their timely submission;
• Undertake independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term
sustainability of the organization;
• Assist the organization in developing business plans to generate income from various
sources;
• Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise
funds for the activities of the organization;
• Maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests regularly and
keep updating them about the work of the organization;
• Assist in improving and developing communications material for the organization such as
brochure, website, poster etc;
• Organize or provide assistance in organizing any fundraising events (offline or online) for
the organization;
• Suggest other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization.
Experience
• Demonstrated experience in planning, design and implementation of sustainability and
fundraising goals
• Prior work experience in sustainability and fundraising with international humanitarian
organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a
multicultural setting is an advantage.
• Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions,
United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
• Knowhow on the structure of subsidies both internationally and nationally, and on the
application processes for EU, international and funding done by foundations.
