Open Call for Consultancy Roster: Team Leaders and Technical Experts

 

Near East Foundation is launching an open call for candidates to join its roster of Team Leaders and Experts. Candidates from the roster may be contacted about new assignments related to FCDO Global Development Delivery (GDD), Conflict, Stability and Security (CSSF) frameworks, in addition to USAID, EU, and other institutionally funded contracts.

 

Assignments will entail working closely with NEF Country Teams and global experts to deliver world-leading programming, such as:

  • designing new development financing instruments in Western and Eastern Sahel;
  • developing new measures to address to food insecurity in the Horn of Africa;
  • pioneering new business development services in last mile communities in Syria and Iraq.

 

We are eager to hear from:

Team Leaders with 8+ years’ experience in complex programme design and delivery, including in fragile and conflict-affected states (FCAS).  Experts in:

1.  Inclusive Economic Development, including:

  • SME and private sector development
  • Value chain development and market systems
  • Employment and labour markets
  • Innovative finance and financial services
  • Local and infrastructure governance and PPPs
  • Trade and economic policymaking

2.  Climate and Nature, including:

  • Sustainable agriculture and food security
  • Climate resilience and adaptation
  • Global, national and subnational climate policy and climate finance
  • Disaster risk reduction and management
  • Natural environment and biodiversity

3.  Stabilization and Peacebuilding:

  • Gender
  • Youth and inclusion
  • People-to-people peacebuilding
  • Environmental peacebuilding and conflict management
  • Political economy analysis

4.  Digitization and technology to support economic development or climate resilience

5.  Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

6.  Compliance & Risk Management for FCDO-funded programming

 

 

 

This call to the roster will close on February 21, 2024 and reviews will commence on February 5, 2024.
