Peacebuilding Program Lead
Description
This position is one of two peacebuilding program lead positions in MCC’s planning, learning and disaster response department (PLDR). This position can be in either Canada or the United States. The two peacebuilding leads work collaboratively on all dimensions of the department’s resourcing, training, and research into MCC-supported peacebuilding work. The peacebuilding leads resource and support MCC staff and partners globally in the development of MCC’s peacebuilding program by supporting project development, reviewing proposals and reports, providing training and resourcing in planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting (PMER), and assisting with monitoring and evaluation of peacebuilding programming. Together with MCC’s regional area directors, the peacebuilding leads review all peacebuilding projects in MCC’s international program and approve internal grant funding to partners for peacebuilding projects. They help convene and support virtual platforms for fostering learning about peacebuilding across all MCC programs. These positions lead research into MCC’s peacebuilding work in order to capture and share learnings and to strengthen these efforts. The peacebuilding leads also provide sectoral understanding for communications and donor relations regarding peacebuilding programs.
Location Description: This position may be located in the following countries:
Canada (remote possible; office is in Winnipeg, Manitoba)
United States (remote possible from states where MCC is registered; office in Akron, Pennsylvania)
Employment eligibility: Candidate must be legally authorized to work in one of the listed location countries (ie Canada or United States), at the time of hire. MCC will not assist with applications for work authorization for this position.
