About Airlink

Airlink is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit humanitarian logistics organization that connects airlines with vetted nonprofits to deliver disaster responders and supplies to communities in crisis worldwide.

Airlink and its airline partners have transported nearly 14,000 passengers and 6,700 tons of cargo in support of a broad range of humanitarian initiatives that have provided aid to more than 64 million people. Airlink has saved our NGO partners more than $43 million in transport costs.

As Airlink celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2025, we are looking ahead to the next five years, with annual goals that call for increasing our team by 25%, refining our fundraising strategies, and strengthening our brand. To that end, we are seeking a program associate to support our Humanitarian Programs team’s increasing response work around the world.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Humanitarian Program Manager for LAC, the Programs Associate is a core team member responsible for direct support of NGO partner personnel mobilization, impact report collection, and general team operations.

Due to the nature of Airlink’s mission in support of disaster response, there will occasionally be an expectation to work extended hours or on weekends and holidays, with limited advance notice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support rapid and effective implementation of response programs, including booking of passengers and database management.
  • Actively participate in the creation of program-related communications, including internal humanitarian briefings and externally-facing monthly program updates, situation reports, and program milestone reports.
  • Collect and review reporting from response partners associated with shipments and passenger mobilization, including distribution information and the impact of Airlink support on emergency-affected communities.
  • Provide support to administrative and special projects, including webinars and internal operations meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience and High School diploma.
  • Prior work experience in the nonprofit or travel sector.
  • Experience with working in Monday.com and/or Salesforce is preferred.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Oral and written communication skills in English, including report writing and editing.

Preferred Skills & Personal Characteristics:

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to process large volumes of information dynamically in a changing operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and the adaptability to reprioritize focus.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a balanced focus on personal accountability and team goals.

Location:

Airlink is headquartered in downtown Washington, D.C. and operates a hybrid work schedule with the team in-office three days a week. Given the collaborative nature of this position, we are only considering candidates who are in or willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000. Additionally, Airlink provides a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to:

  •       75% company-paid health benefits, including dental and vision, for employees
  •       Competitive 401(k) matching policy
