Description

The role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is envisaged as an enterprise leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO and a strategic partner to the CEO and the entire executive leadership team. JSI seeks an HR thought leader who is innovative, strategic, collaborative, people-focused, and empathetic to help reimagine its people function globally. As a thought leader, collaborator, and advisor, the CHRO will work alongside the executive leadership and global HR team to rethink, redevelop, and reskill the human resource function, ensuring the JSI team has the vision, expertise, and experience to develop and support the key organizational strategies and translate them operationally to assist JSI’s global network in achieving its goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The CHRO will have responsibility for repositioning the human resources (HR) function, and building a global HR team that is aligned with best practices and initiatives, monitoring their impact, and ensuring JSI stays abreast with state-of-the-art HR trends and technologies. The CHRO will be responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance across the full scope of the HR function, domestically and internationally, and ensure that global teams receive the support they need to operate effectively. The CHRO will, therefore, develop and execute the long-term umbrella HR strategy and partner with senior leadership to ensure the infrastructure is in place for the global vision to be fully realized.

As a trusted thought partner, the CHRO will advise the CEO in areas of leadership, coaching, managing employee relations, employee engagement, total compensation strategy, organizational design and change management, talent acquisition and management, performance management, and learning and development. The CHRO will lead, assess, mentor, and support all HR team members to ensure that daily HR operations are effortlessly handled in a timely and appropriate way. Moreover, the CHRO will lead a new culture of individual and team achievement, ensuring every employee’s objectives represent and reflect JSI’s strategic plans and are monitored through performance management goals.

Of critical importance, the CHRO will spearhead JSI’s commitment to be a leading-edge diverse, anti- racist, equitable, and inclusive organization and will be responsible for developing, embedding, and ensuring plans are achieved that foster an innovative vision of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB). The CHRO will operate at the programmatic and administrative levels, working to eliminate systemic organizational marginalization and promote inclusion and anti-racist practices.
The ideal candidate will be known as a collaborative, supportive, courageous, empathetic, innovative, and visionary leader with outstanding people and strategic management skills. They will be a forward-thinking practitioner who has a passion for this work and who will build and inspire a professional and dedicated human resource function and team.

The ideal candidate will be located in a country in which JSI is registered.
