Here’s where you come in:
As Chief Executive Officer – WV Mongolia, you will provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the organization’s ministry in Mongolia, ensuring impactful, accountable, and sustainable delivery of child well-being outcomes. You will serve as the senior executive leader, stewarding the organization’s vision, strategy, and resources, and positioning WV Mongolia as a credible, locally rooted, and globally connected partner.
You will lead the organization in achieving its national strategy in alignment with Our Promise and broader partnership priorities. You will ensure that the operating model, programs, and support functions drive measurable impact for children while upholding excellence in stewardship, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
You will act as both a national and global representative, fostering strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as well as strategic partners. You will champion innovative and context-responsive approaches, strengthen local credibility, and ensure WV Mongolia’s meaningful contribution to national development and the global mission of achieving lasting child well-being.
Requirements include:
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience, including senior executive responsibility for strategy, operations, and organizational performance across humanitarian, development, private, or public sectors.
- Proven experience leading large organizations in dynamic operating environments.
- Strong ability to build effective working relationships within the Mongolia context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong public speaking capability.
- Demonstrated financial management expertise.
- Proven ability to represent the organization with a wide range of stakeholders, from community members to senior government officials.
- Experience in fundraising across diverse donor groups, including governments, foundations, corporations, and private donors.
- Familiarity with microfinance governance, including experience working with and supporting a local board.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in international development or a related field.
- Fluency in English and Mongolian.
- Alignment with and commitment to the organization’s Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Christian identity.
