Position Description

Summary:

InterAction is soliciting Expression of Interest (EoI) from consultants to develop report layouts and associated graphics for up to three reports. The selected candidate will support the development of new graphics and/or adopt existing graphics to suit the InterAction branding guidelines and learning objectives, in consultation with InterAction’s technical and communications teams and will support the creation of report layouts.

Background:

InterAction is developing three publications, an advocacy brief on housing, land, and property; a case study compendium on local actor shelter assistance programs and projects; and a report on the barriers to operationalizing the Settlements Approach and lessons learned from those who have operationalized the approach.

Expected activities and deliverables

  • Clearly understand the objectives and target audience, familiarize the relevant publications, and follow InterAction’s style sheet and branding standards (Style sheet and branding guidelines will be provided)
  • Provide advice on the format for each document prior to drafting stage, including a joint discussion with copyediting consultant.
  • Work with InterAction technical team to develop appropriate publication layouts
  • Develop relevant and associated graphics for each publication

Qualifications

  • Have a good understanding of humanitarian principles and related terminology, as well as inclusive, accessible, and plain language principles.
  • Previous graphics and report development experience.

Period of Performance

It is expected the work will extend over a period of a few months. Consultants should be available from September 2024-Janury 2024. Work is to be carried out remotely. It is expected that the level of effort will increase towards the end of the time frame noted.
