The Director of Finance plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization's financial strategy, driving financial excellence, and contributing to the overall financial health of Justice in Aging. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in steering financial operations in the nonprofit sector. The Director of Finance works in partnership with and reports to the Executive Director. This role is instrumental in driving the financial success, stability, and sustainability of Justice in Aging.

The Organization:

Justice in Aging uses the power of law and our expertise in health care, economic security, and elder justice to fight senior poverty and advance equity. Founded in 1972, we have a rich tradition of successful, high-impact, and strategic advocacy. We also run the National Center on Law and Elder Rights through a federal contract with the Administration for Community Living, providing training and education to over 50,000 advocates across the country. The organization has a staff of 38 and an annual budget of over $7 million.

Join us and become part of the only national organization focused solely on advancing the rights of low-income older adults. Watch this short video to learn more about how, over the past 50 years, we have used the power of law and our expertise in all of the programs older adults rely on to fight senior poverty. And learn why, in 2021, we launched a new strategic initiative to center our work in advancing equity. Through this initiative, we are intentionally pursuing systemic changes in law and policy that improve the lives of low-income older adults who experience inequities deeply rooted in structural racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, and xenophobia. You can be a part of this meaningful work.
